Its a Kennedy maintenance pro, 8 drawer, ball bearing slides, powdercoated, its 39" wide, 40" tall, and 20" deep. I highly recommend it, as opposed to some of the higher end boxes.

Now you Guys need to buy Shadow Box Foam and Position all of your tools neatly, LOL. Actually, It is fantastic for doing Inventory of your Tools after you complete a Project so that you know nothing is left behind!

That organizer is a cool idea, but I have too many tools and not enough drawers to have them spaced out that much.

Kennedy makes some very good tool boxes. I have 2 Kennedy 5 drawer chests that stack on top of each other, along with a 9 drawer Snap On box. The combination can be put in the back of the Mustang if necessary. I did that way on purpose because when I was working out of the tool boxes to make a living, I didn't have a pickup truck or SUV. Put them in the back of whatever I was driving at the time and move to a new location.

Were you in the military? I was in the Air Force, and they made us do that to all of our boxes.. every part had its own place in every drawer.. mainly so we didnt lose any tools in the planes. But thats really the only people ve seen that do that is current / ex military

A&P, mostly Jet Engines, so yep it carries home with you and being Organized is very nice so that you can inventory your Tools!

I found the supplier through work and got the Phone Number and ordered up a couple sheets as it is damn near impossible to find anywhere else. A Soldering Iron and a Razor Blade work best for custom fitting everything, I have seen some guys put tools in the oven for a little bit and then drop them in place, but I dont like that method. I will look around for my and see if I can find the receipt that has the phone # on it. On my Sockets I also like to paint the Metric # White and my SAE Red then they are easy to pick out of a pile.

foam

Snapon sells the foam kit in different colors and they even have software to lay it out to maximize space.

Here is a Pic of another Drawer. My Box is a few years old, but that Foam was not available anywhere, it may be more mainsteam today than it was before. The Company I got it from was BGR Inc. 1-800-628-9195, 513-755-7100, its called Eathafoam PCS Blue Shadow Box Tool Foam, I ended up with 2 - 48"x48" Sheets for $42.60 Shipped.

Good luck - I worked as an A&P for 6 years part time and 3 years full time. I only had one good paying job, the rest were crooks and shops that didn't pay anything. That was my motivation for having 3 big tool boxes you could fit in a full size car. Top box is wrenches, middle box engine tools and speciality items, bottom box sheet metal & air tools. Pack them up in the car and move down the ramp to the next shop or small airport...

I have been in the computer service business for the last 27 years and it pays much better than fixing airplanes.
