I usually shy away of buying a seriously modified car, you never know what your getting yourself into, especially if you need it for a DD. Keep your '95, its coming along really well from what you are posting.

I wouldn't do it. You don't know anything about that car. The 5k mile "new" 460 could be a 100k plus "worn out" with a lopey cam boat anchor. The C6 could be on it's last legs and has been doctored with some "fix it in a bottle" to get it through a sale/trade. If the guy put it together "right" less than 5k miles ago, he wouldn't be looking for a stock 200k SN95 for a trade. He'd have about $3500 in the engine/trans alone. Maybe more. If you want a big block in a Stang, put one together for your car. That way, you know what you've got. My opinion.

Very good points made.

Cars like the one offered make a nice 9th car, but not your one-and-only car.

There's a fox guy on here with a similar set-up - get with him for comments if you even vaguely consider this (Tim can tell you who it is - Exploding Gopher or one of those guys).

Even with a clean, stockish fox, the SN is the choice for a lone DD IMHO.

Not necessarily.

He doesn't drive the car much and it has 5,000 miles. 5,000 seems low for a DD, but is really high for a track car(which this is).

Either way it wouldn't be a good trade.

bad call. seems to me he is despret to get rid of it. no offense, but your can doesn't compare much to a worked fox like that. also, what other supporting hardware does it have? if all he did was put the engine and tranny in, did he do chasis stiffening or suspension? possible he still has the stock radiator in there.

you'll be biting off more than you can chew if you do it.
