Got some parts- Bama tune

Well I got my tunes and installed my Tri-Ax(found out that doing installs in the parts store parking lot can be quite useful ). LOVE the tri-ax. Loved the 93 race tune until I heard detonation. I put it back to 87 street and sent them an email. Just sucks because they will probably have to tone it down. I really liked the power.

I am waiting on a mac o/r h-pipe, mm cc plates, and finally installing spring isolators (never knew to replace them when I did my springs).

Any pointers on these installs? Or maybe something that should be installed in relation (ie. spring isolators with springs).

I think I am going to tighten the suspension and chassis a little next. Then start putting on some bolt ons.

Well I just felt like writing so...im out.

Measure twice drill once on the mm cc plates, your alightment shop will love you though for the added adjustment of the new plates.

I live 30 miles from where your avitar is from. Said he was avoiding a seagull. Maybe don't take $1mil cars on feeder roads right next to the water?

+1, the install isn't very hard but a buddy of mine installed steeda cc plates and screwed up the drill holes, the allignment shop had to drill new ones for him

As far as the H-Pipe goes, I imagine the MAC unit will be better/easier to install than the JEGS piece I bought. One thing I had to do with mine was fabricate a set of O2 sensor extensions (Just soldered in some wire extension and wrapped). My JEGS H-pipe didn't mount up and fit the rest of the exhaust very well either but I think thats because the piece was not constructed with the same quality that the MAC unit will be.

My front O2 sensors were further down on the new midpipe and the rear O2 sensors were further forward, I didn't have to make extensions for the rear sensors though, I just moved them out of their factory bracket. I'm not sure if the same will be required for you and the prochamber but in the event you do choose to fab your own extensions you'll notice the O2 sensor wires are very small, Radioshack was the only place I found that carried the gauge of wire that I needed.

I have been running their 91 octane race tune for over 6months without a single problem. It you read on their site it specifically says that in the race tune you cannot have blended gas. You have to flush the system with a tank of 93 completely before you switch to the race tune.

That is what I did on my car, ran my tank of 87 to almost empty, filled up with 91 and loaded my 91 street tune and ran the car on that til almost empty, then filled up again and up loaded the 91 performance tune (to try it out) and after another tank of 91 I finally felt confident to use the race tune (an wanted more power).

Now that my car has only been filled up with 91 (all my tunes are for 91) I have never had an issue.

I honestly just drove till the light came on my gas tank then switched it to 93 octane with my tune and just drove the first 40 miles easily... Seemed to work for me.. God I miss using 93 octane, the car had more get up compared to the 87 octane tune...

Yeah they said to change spark plugs which I needed to do anyways. Just waiting til I have time to. My hpipe comes in tomorrow so I may just order new tunes and get all that done at once.
