an 81mph trap speed seems a little slow, especially looking at your mods, and the rest of the run. Did you brake before you got to the line? I was trapping at 75 in my automatic NA.

15.7 does seem a little slow for what you have done to it...
Doesn't the Cam2 burn up the O2 sensors and cat though?

BTW, what track did you run it at? The track in Richmond?

Please don't take this wrong but I would have to agree you should be going a little quicker than 15.7. Stock 85' SVO's (older) runs 15.5 or close to that with no mods. I wonder if the clutch slipping would slow you down some?

something is wrong, that mph is terrible, I pulled a 87mph on my stock 86svo that was in very bad tune.

Yeah the clutch slipping would definatly slow him down...did you happen to shift into to 5th or anything? Anyways, sounds cool man, I can't wait to get out and run my baby down the strip a few times...

PS what exactly are these "mods" you've got?

All I see is 1 psi more of uncooled boost, insanely high octane and clutch slipping.

ummmmmmm

my mods are a 3inch downpipe with a flowmaster exiting right before the passenger back tire, k&n attached to the vam, umm..... i do know that the clutch is my n/a clutch and flywheel cause i couldnt afford a new set up for the turbo motor and i needed transportation so i used that clutch and i was runnin 205/60's on the back to keep from burnin up my good tires there was also a lil more spinnin than what yall prob think, pretty much all of first gear was spinning and it tryin to hook up but when it hooks up it will go. i was thinkin about takin my system out but it keeps weight over my rear so i figured that i would keep it in. (maybe 200 lbs total) whats the highest boost i can run with out being intercooled and not risking blowwin the motor up and is cam 2 just too outragous to be runnin? oh yea i do remember that i did let off a lil at the end cause the guy i was racing was gonna breakout. I never shifted into 5th and i still have my 3.45 open rear in it. i dunno does anybody have a website or anything explaining the fmic install? oh yea it was richmond dragway. i wanna try and put the intercooler on before next week. oh yea i finished 4th overall in street and strip with those #'s. i know it can be better though i dialed in at a 15.5 vbut could only run 15.7 consistantly with one 16.2 but that guy brokeout something terrible so i let off way before the line lol. thanks for the replies

I'd say you're right on. It will improve. Run 93 octane!

I'm with Corvax on the tires, ummmmm

I woudn't think a 205/60 wouldn't be enough meat for anything, but thats my opinion. I would slap on something a little wider like a 235/60 and see what happens. Then I would try and fab something up to get the K&N to collecting air from out side the engine compartment.

Thats is just my opinion and not trying to put down what you got, I just feel you should be doing a hair better.

Tires have nothing to do with trap speed though...something is wrong. My bone stock 84 SVO trapped over 80mph at 9psi!

I think the Cam2 leaded gas probably actually hurt your time. Newer cars aren't meant to run on leaded gas.
