When I first started this project I could not get off the rotor. They were the same rotor that came from the factory. So there was 10 years of rust on there. I finally had to end up taking a torch to them and then a big ****ing hammer. To get them off. All and all I love the brakes there are a huge difference. I bought a M/C from Baer. That really made a big differences too. Here's the Pics let me know what you think.

Those stock calipers are so ugly and heavy aren't they? :D

I like the rotors, only it looks like you're going to have that inner part of the rotor covered in powdercoat. Doesn't look too sexy. :( But it's a lot better than my rusty inner rotor. :nonono:

Thanks guys for the comments. I got the kit from speedconcepts. It was $441 shipped. It is so much better that the stock rotors. I almost couldn't stop with those. I bought the M/C because I wanted it. It control the stiffness of your brake pedal. That is as far as the brake pads are supposed to go around. You go much farther down they would be able to vent as well. Oh and the M/C was $151 from Baer.

Dustin,

I just had the Cobra upgrade done a couple weeks ago. You're right they stop 100% better than oem. The pedal is totally different, stiff and no mush any where. The pads that come with the calipers are decent.

I got mine from GEF at a ok price. The Cobra caliper does not cover the entire 13" rotor, so I ended up spraying the inside circumference of the rotor with clear hi temp paint to get rid of the rust. I though the rotors were zinc coated and didn't rust but that was not the case.

I left the M/C stock. I'm now getting a 17" Cobra spare so I can get the Baer 13" slotted / cross drilled rotors for the rear. I'll put some Hawk pads on them, and hold on. :nice:

Btw - love those Cobra R's - I have FMS silver Cobra R's.

any pics for an example?

Thanks for the replys. Green Machine the M/C really makes the brake pedal feel good. It's real touchy now. Were the Cobra calipers you got the PBR ones? Ford also told me to keep the pads it came with because they would work better in the long run.
