Alright so I may be up **** creek here. Got the mainshaft out, put almost everything back together, but the guide I've been following syas something about a pin for the 1st gear sleeve. I don't have a pin or anything for it. Should there be one there, and where will I be able to get one at? Thanks.

WHat are you using as a guide??

They are talking about this pin shown here in some pics during my last rebuild. The 1st gear parts are layed out. The pin is in the center. In the next photo you can see it installed.

Is the pin the only thing necessary for that area? I pulled up a diagram and it said something about a pin and a ball.
