Well, yesterday after noon my dad and i finished reassembling the transmission around 7:30 and i was thinking can i get this thing together tommorrow. I decided yes i can and yes i will. So i got to work and put the bell housing on and the transmission on the bellhousing(TWO MAN JOB!!!!). Threw on the driveshaft and damn its hard to hit that 100ftlbs torque with so little room under the car. Then put on the starter. Then i got in the car and filled the tranny, and then put the shifter on and set the stops, put on the inner boots, outer boot. Put on my Xpipe after killing a gnarly spider that made its home in it. I then put my wheels back on and torqued em down. All of a sudden i look at the clock and its 4:30am, man i was in the zone. Took it down off the jack stands and started her up, felt so good. Backed her up and took it around the block. Pedal effort was definitly harder with the Spec 1. Tranny shifts nice.
To make this thread tech related, i have a steeda clutch quadrant and firewall adjust with the stock cable, but it seems that it wants to engauge the clutch like right off the floor. I just set the firewall adjuster in middle. So if i turn it out then it will make it engauge further up right? Thanks guys, i got my stang back.
