There are metal tabs on the end of the pad that grip the caliper. What you want to do is bend the tabs inward slightly to make a tight fit. Like everything, there's a right and a wrong way. The first few times I did it I got it wrong, of course. It's frustrating when your "fix" only lasts a couple days and the noise comes back.

What you want to do is put the pad in a vise and bend the very base of the metal tabs. You'll have to bend the tips of the tabs outward at the same time. You want the base of the tabs to be the tightest point. If you just bend the tabs in by gripping the ends of the tabs - your fix will last until the first time you apply the brakes firmly. Ask me how I know.

I hope this helps. I had noise all last summer, then towards the end of the summer I bent the tabs as described above. The problem hasn't come back this summer. (crosses fingers)

There are also spring clips that go on the trailing edge of the inner pads that prevent them from rattling.

Could you tell me where that solution is ? I didn't see it.

There is another possibilty. The retainer assembly that holds your caliper in the bracket should have three pieces to it, A thick spacer with two half rounds cut out of it, A spring that ressembles a leaf spring sitting on top of the spacer and an allen head bolt to hold them in place. Make sure you are not missing the Leaf spring part. You should not be able to move the caliper by hand if it is all there and installed right.
