Granada Front Disc Brakes and Wheel Fitment

I have mid/late 70's Ford Granada front disc brakes on my 65 Stang. Will Wheel Vintiques or the other replica Magnum 500 wheels clear the larger diameter Granada hubs. I have been told that it will fit, but I am still trying to find out for sure before I order a set.

I believe the Granada hubs are 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Most of the Magnum 500 wheels I have found say that the center cap hole is 2 1/8 inches. Does this mean that the center bore is 2 1/8, or is it slightly larget towards the back of the wheel?

I'm still not decided on where to get them from. Does anyone know who offers the best price and/or free shipping?

15x7 Magnum 500's fit no problem on Granada conversion on my 66 project car

Is your Granada conversion one of the newer kits or is it actual 70s Ford parts?

Just take the rotors, remove the wheel studs, and have the outside diameter of the hub turned down. I did this and was able to put factory styled steel wheels on. Cost $7.50 each!

I have the 14x7 500's on my 66, and had to use a 3/8 spacer after I swapped in a laurel mt mustang front end kit. With stock a arms, they fit ok. I think backspacing is 3.5.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess if they won't quite clear I could have the hubs turned down. Who would do something like that? Could I just get the autoparts store to do it like the turn rotors?

IIRC, the wheels that require the hubs turned down are stock styled steel. Torqu thrust, slot mag, mag 500 all will work. My tires rubbed the end of the a arm, had nothing to do with the rotors.

Thats for all of the input guys.

I just ordered a set of 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels from Mustangs Unlimited. Actually I bought them from their Ebay store. That was the best price I could find and it had free shipping.

What did you do about the tires rubbing the A arm? What size front tires?

I'm planning on running BFG radial ta 215/60/15 front and 225 or 235/60/15 rear.

I used a 3/8 aluminum spacer. I use 215/70/14 all the way around, if that helps.

Another question about Granada stuff. Doesn't the spindle hub and rotor assembly make the front wheels stick out slightly more than stock?

Thats cool. I'm glad it doesn't. I just remember hearing several years ago that it pushed the wheels something like 1/8 inch out. Thanks for the reply.
