I just noticed that these weight jacker arms look identical to the MM, anyone have any experience with them? I remember GMS having a huge ordeal with their lower arms a few years ago but i was wondering if these arms are any good? Reason I ask is because I am so close to getting the Maximum Motorsports arms but would buy the GMS model if they are equal quality at a cheaper price. Out of everything I have bought for my car this is my hardest decision yet. Thanks

Control arms are pretty important. If i could afford the MM arms over the other similar but cheaper arms, i'd go with the MM arms just for piece of mind.
I'll add that a buddy of mine actually broke a Southside Machine LCA and it sent his car doing 360s down the end of the track. Luckily he was at the end of the track and somehow didn't flip or go off the track or into a wall. SSM arms really aren't cheap either. Personally there are only 3 companies that i'll consider for control arms....Maximum Motorsports, Griggs and Steeda (of course probably Ford as well since they aught to know how to build a decent control arm by now)

I guess Maximum it is. I should jus pony up and do it already. I spent top dollar on everything else. The idea of doing 360s down the road scares me. I dont wanna kill myself, my family, or others. The problems I remember reading about the GMS stuff pertained to breakage. GMS response was to basically go F yourself if their arms broke on your car. I may be stupid for thinking anything changed. Yeah im gonna jus get the Maximums.
Well don't get me wrong here...you'll probably be ok. The way i see it, is control arms are your link between the car and the axle...that's a big deal. Also, MM is a reputable company and they sell a LOT of control arms, and at least some of them are actually going racing and not just used on street cars. I wouldn't trust some over seas knock off for that kind of job. I'm not saying the Granatelli arms are junk or anything, but reputation actually means something in the aftermarket world. When racers spend their cash on parts, if those parts fail then the company is on borrowed time. MM wouldn't be as big as they are if they sold junk.
I have the cash im gonna jus go nuts with the suspension, this car is my only real hobby. I want it to handle like its on rails and safety is a major issue with me. I wont drive the car if its not safe. Thanks for your input. I still would like input if any of you guys have the GMS stuff and beat on it and havent had probelms. LOL, STOCK. I'm a bit stubborned so until i can buy the best i'm not even gonna fool with it. A buddy of mine got a set of uppers and lowers from 5.0 Resto for like $160, which is a pretty damn good deal. His car seems to hook really well, but i would always be wondering if the MM pieces or Griggs or whatever would be better and that's enough for me to just stick it out and get what i really want. I think when it happens though, i'll be getting a Griggs GR40 kit...the Griggs equipped cars are pretty nasty out on the road courses.
I run the PRO3 weight jackers that are sold right here on stangnet and there are the same as the MM & the granitelli, But cheaper. NO complaints here.

Also they have fallen off the mustang scene alittle, But HPM makes a great control arm.
I have owned all of there suspension products and would recomend them over and over again.

We bent the spring perches on a set of the GMS lowers a few years back when they first came off. The car was a 1.50 60ft car with 350RWHP, only took a dozen or so passes to bend them.
Look at the Pro3i that they sell here on SN, they work well and my buddy has them on his 10 sec NA car for over 4 years with no issues.
