Granatelll or Pro M

Pro M manufactures the units to Granatelli specs, they just rebrand them. As for your whistling accufab - what size tb and what intake? When I had my 70mm accufab on my stock intake (63mm port) it whistled at part throttle. When I put the performer on (70mm port) it stopped.

65mm,,stock intake

That may be your whistle. If you plan on keeping the stock intake you may want to open it to a 65mm gasket.

And I'm happy with my pro m bullet, only issue was some difficulty getting the cold air kit on around it (it's longer than the stock meter housing). I'm not sure what the difference is between the pro m/granatelli specs, just make sure you get one calibrated for your injectors and intake tract (stock/conical/cold air) and you should be fine.

The shorties are made for an underhood conical filter, and they have a large flange at the end where the filter bolts on. A cold air kit like the mac/bbk won't fit them.

GET a Pro-M...I would go with the 80mm since it is cheaper....than the 77mm...it is plastic, however, and not aluminum like the 77mm...look on eBay for best deals on both the 77mm and 80mm...I have 2 77mm and I have no complaints...they make them both in a shorty style and a regular style...both take a conicle filter

I called up Summit and Jegs,,they dont carry pro M,,only Granatelll.Pro M makes them,,they are one in the same. But they cant tell me why Granatelll is 30 bucks more then pro m

Granatelli just wants to make a profit.. the more hands a product passes through the more the cost goes up. I'd just get a pro m personally. Summit/Jegs may not carry them but a ton of other places do. I got mine from Mustangs Unlimited, I deal with them all the time and their service is great.

Edit: By the way the "difficulty" I mentioned in getting the bullet to fit my cold air kit was just a minor issue - it's on there fine. I've since taken it off/put it back on probably a half dozen times, it's just a bit of a pain.

Did a question go unanswered? Just out of curiosity where did you find that pro m for $170?
Demolet automotive,,he makes the dense air charger cai.,,He usaully sells them for 179,,but being Im a past customer he let it go for 169!! And he said he will set it up for his system(I have his CAI) how Im not sure.

That's a good price. I had a densecharger for a while but traded it for a mac cai. Everything else under my hood is polished aluminum/chrome, so the black plastic kinda looked out of place. fwiw I noticed no performance differences between the two systems.
