The claims about the metal getting hot and effecting performance are a load as far as I'm concerned. The constant flow of air ripping through the tube pretty much keeps it cool to the touch. When you let it sit for a while, sure it gets hot, but start the air moving and... Definately no *noticable* difference in my case between the two systems. I'm eventually going to pick up an anderson powerpipe or fabricate something myself. I don't like the different sized tubing, or all the bends and hoses of these 3 piece kits.
