Good evening and Happy New Year y'all. I just purchased a 4 cyl notch and am beginning my research of what parts I will need for a Coyote swap. All I have so far is that I want to go with a Gen 2 and a manual trans. Any advice and recommendations from personal experience is always welcome.

So you can swap from a 4 banger to an eight and pass emissions???
I.don't you think Nevada State will go for that or I would easily go for it.

It’s goona be right on that budget. Prices have sky rocketed on the motors since the great sickness.

If you are looking at a salvage yard motor trans combo the Gen 2’s are now pretty high mile. A Gen 3 will be lower miles but cost more. Good thing is the Gen 4 is out so that will help drop the price of a Gen 3.

The Parts Farm has turnkey offerings like this one:

What you need to know is there is no power steering pump on these motors. You can go electric like a Volvo pump or do the Power by the Hour kit.

You are going to need a k-member, front suspension, trans cross member, driveshaft, etc.

Another thing to think about is how to integrate the stock gauges (engine temp, oil pressure, volts, and speedo).

You need to research this really well, develop a plan, and then stick to the plan.
