Grinding gears

I have a manual transmission and If i am rolling backwards at any speed and try to put my car in reverse, It grinds really bad and wont go in unless i am sitting still. It is also somewhat difficult to shift into any gear, it's like hard when it touches a gear and then it sinks in. Could i need tranny fluid maybe?

my t5z grinded reverse since new... i just hit 4 then reverse. try adding fluid, the double engaging feeling is common. the first is the synchro the second is the gear...your tranny might be wearing down tho.

Reverse isnt synchronized.

Yep, one normally has to hit a forward gear before hitting reverse (seems to me that z spec boxes should have a blocker on reverse though). That is just normal. And rolling forward or backwards, and trying to engage the gear is not easy.
