When I shift into 2nd fairly fast (mostly when its cold IE very first shift) it tends to make a grinding noise, but the noise seems to be comming from the shifter its pretty quiet, not a loud grind like people get when they dont know how to drive.

I got a steeda tri-ax...think the stops need to be adjusted?

I also have a VERY VERY slow leak (more of a bleed) on my tranny, think mabye my fluids are a bit low and once my tranny warms up it has no problem? 90% of the time it only does it when its cold and I shift fairly fast, and its my 1st shift 90% of the time too.

So what do u guys think it is, tranny fluids or stops on my shifter or somthign else?

WOULD it be the stops on my shifter? is it worth my time to pull it apart and see, its quite a bit of work since I got that stupid gold plate put back on.

I would say it is the tri-ax itself or any aftermarket shifter. The stock shifter uses rubber bushings to damper the sounds of the tranny. They are the same bushings thats makes it shift sloppy. When you remove the stock shifter, you get the grinding. I have it with my Pro 5.0. and I had it with my tri-ax on my other car. You can live with it or put the stocker back in.

yeah it sounds like a turbo/supercharger thats normal, thast not the sound I mean, I mean a actual GRINDING sound like when you shift with no clutch haha but not nearly as loud and only comming from the shifter area.

you prob. need to just replace the fluid, i would recommend the synchromesh from gm, more heat dissipation, and also slightly thicker than atf but a little slicker due to its synthetic makeup

if this doesnt do it i would replace the blocker rings (first-second0
