LTC's can say "dude"?

Just kidding. I'm jealous in a way. One of my childhood dreams was to become an officer in the military (Navy specifically) and I do regret not following that dream quite a bit. I have a Navy Capt. and Admiral in the family. (both ret.)

Dude, I don't know if you even remember, but you and I had several chats well more than a decade ago, when we were both juniors... and way less salty, lol. Can't say I remember the details, but I do remember you.

I kind of vaguely remember. I can’t find those conversations anymore.

Interesting that the oak leaf is black. How does the army differentiate between LTC and Major here?

Majors wear a gold oak leaf (flat gold subdued). LTCs wear a silver one (black subdued). The same colors set apart the "butter bar" and the 1st Lieutenant. The subdued ranks look like this:

Maybe so. The oldest conversation I have on here was started back in 2013.

I just talked to Michael Bell again, yesterday. He'll thinks he'll have his shop together again by year's end. I'm going to have him do it. I'm at his mercy, as at the moment engine shops near me are not full service, are badly backlogged, and I don't have the time or space to pull the motor.

Joe, I just want you to know, you are always welcome to come down here and get it going again

Dude..
or should i say LTC dude.

All of the original head butting aside, anybody who’s been in service can see what you’ve accomplished.
O-5; Ranger; Airborne; Air Assault…
Most others would wash out.

Yet you’ve persevered…Kudos..Thank you for your exemplary service.

But don’t do this again…Do not leave you car in the hands of “XYZ“. Every time you’ve done this, you come on here complaining that they’ve moved, gone out of business, or otherwise fcked you..

(Not that Im any different.) cept there’s nobody else to blame in my case but me.

A shop will either:
Take your money, and do nothing.

or

Take your money, Start on your car, disable it to the point of being undriveable, and do nothing.

Get where you’re going..get settled, and live at these guys shops until they get done what you want done..…None of these guys will work and finish anything unless you’re there to haunt them.

Sucks that this is the only update in so long, but I hope to have more in the coming month or two, bow that it's with Michael Bell for piston replacement.
