GT 350R radiator mounting.

I'm going to be putting in a 24" wide Ford radiator. I have plenty of pictures of GT 350R engine bays but none that show details of how Shelby mounted the Galaxie radiators. Anybody have any? Anybody with access to an original R model that they could get some pics? I figure if I'm going to mount it I'd like to do it the way they were done originaly.

I can't help you with the pics or info on the 350R.

I achieved the same thing as you want by swapping a 68' radiator support for the 65'. The are almost the same, except the 65' is just a little wider on the lower right side. There was very little other modding to do and the core looks stock.

Now I can install any 24" Mustang radiator using the factory 67-70 AC mounts. I have the upper one and am probably going to fab up the lower (or get some from a 67' which looke simple to install. Just waiting for my 4 core radiator to arrive to finish the project. . . . .

Thanks Dennis. That is definately one of the options I am considering. I've seen a few different ideas how to mount it, and came up with a couple of my own. Haveta make up my mind soon as the hot weather is coming and I have this nice 4 row 24" rad that needs a home. Bring on the heat!
