as for the 94-95 spindles. i have the dual pbr's from a 04gt. those are about the most cost effective brake setup.

you can get the direct swap brake lines from maximum motorsports

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/s...age=product_info&cPath=49_144&products_id=684

i cant remember the ranger size axles someone will chime in there.

i have 245s in the fron no probs. and 275 out back with just a lil rolling. but those are 17's stock ride height

Youll be fine with the stock brakes up front. As for the axles i think it is 83 to 92. But i am 100% certain that 85-88 will work. You will need two drivers side axles from a ranger along with the drums. Its a pretty easy swap. You dont have to modify the brakes or anything just swap the axles slide on the drum and your ready to go.

follow the link for the front lines. if you keep the drums im not sure there. make sure you have -an- wrenches for the line when you take em off so you dont round anything off. other than that just make sure you got plenty of brake fluid and all the lugs you need. i believe most chrome lugs are like 2.50 a piece. what i paid from lane automotive

Cobra rotors but you will have to get the cobra calipers with the mounts. If you have the money that is the way to go but for a bang for the buck option, go with the 99+ gt dual pbr calipers. You will have to grind a little bit of the spindle to make them fit because the caliper is huge but well worth it.

I went with '94 v6 spindles (same as Cobra and GT) and calipers with drilled and slotted rotors.
For the rear I used Ranger axles (one from a '90 and one from a '91). You need two left side axles. I bought new drums at Auto Zone.

I used an adapter for the right side brake line from www.maximummotorsports.com and ball joint spacers from www.breezeautomotive.com.

I kept the same master cylinder.

I havent driven the car since the swap was done because its in the bodyshop but I guarantee the brakes will work better than stock. Anything will.

alright well i think ive got all the info i need just gotta start piecing things together.

should i get a 5 lug conversion kit out of one of the magazines or will it be cheaper to piece the rear components together? im not crazy about used axles!

used axles are just as good as new ones. as long as the car wasnt hit in the back I wouldnt worry about axle integrity. piece the parts together. you can get everything for well under a grand. I put together my front set up with 99 pbr calipers, 98 spindles, new hubs, hawk pads, and oem rotors for well under 500. I f you are leaving drums in the back I would buy the axles used and just get new drums. I wouldnt feel good using old drums from the jy.

Go to a U-Pull-It yard and get your own axels. I bought mine on Ebay, paid 150. for the luxury of not having to go bone yardin and one of the axles were bent. Went to the upullit and paid 25.00 for a good one. Don't waste your money on ebay. I bought spindles on there too and they were sold as 94-95's. They were 96+ when I got them on the car the front wheels are out too far. People grab junk and sell it on ebay thinking they know what they have and do not always know. You are better off buying local or from someone on a list like this that knows what they have and are wanting to help, not just turn a buck on some junk parts they picked up from somebody. Im sorry do I sound bitter?? LOL

nah man not bitter jus blunt...im the same way. i get accused of sounding like a d*ck, but im jus straight forward. ebay is littered with people that think it cool to scam others that are on a budget and trying to get a deal on stuff they need.

there is a pull-a-part 25 min. away so thats gonna be my first place to go to for the spindles, hubs, and axles.

My prob with u-pull it yards was that they were expensive near me. They wanted $75/axle for a 100K mile axle from a junked ranger. It was going to cost me $150 for used junk.

Ford racing sells a kit for $180 that comes with two brand new axles and two brand new Ford drums.

So i went that route instead back when i ran 5-lug drum (disk now)

This is the best modification I have ever done. My car is completely stock besides exhaust and window tint. The 5lug conversion I did attracts more attention than anything!!! I love it!!!
