I was wondering which headers work best with the GT-40p heads? I picked up the heads for $300 already machined and I have Ford Motorsport headers but it doesn't look like I'm going to have much room for the sparkplug wires. Can I make these heads work or is there a better set I need to buy?

Ford does make a set for P heads, i believe MAC does also. You can also use MAC full lengths with no problem. I can't vouch for any others. The MAC LT's work because of how the full lengths come straight out from the heads more than shorties do....so you *might* be able to use other full lengths as well, but i've never tried so i can't be sure.

Can I throw in an ecam with stock valve springs on the GT-40p. I believe they came off a '00 Mountaineer. I have some trickflow valve springs I could get put in but not really wanting to spend the money if I don't have to.

I have those heads and have heard of others making other headers work but my suggestion is go with the ford motorsports "P" specific headers./...that way you won't have to worry about denting up headers just to get them to fit :)
I wouldn't use the stock springs with that cam (I have trick flow springs on mine and a steeda #18 cam)....you might get away with it for awhile but eventually it will catch up to you :)

We've run both an E and an X cam with P heads but it's always a good idea to check piston to valve clearance.
