GT ABS Module in a 2001 Cobra

Hello guys,
I have a 2001 Cobra that I bought a year ago, it had the ABS light on the dashboard since I bought it.

So now I want to fix the ABS now, and I see there is a code (C1145 - Right front wheel speed sensor input circuit failure) that is causing the ABS light on the dashboard.

And then I saw that my 2001 Cobra has a GT Traction ABS module, will this work? Or do I have to get a Cobra ABS module?

But does the GT Traction ABS module work on a Cobra?

It does, but there are differences. To be specific, the predictive lockup algorithm is a little bit different between GT and Cobra due to the differences in brake rotor diameter. Lots of guys (myself included) do run GT ABS modules with Cobra brakes without issue. Not so sure how it works the other way.

One thing to note is not all ABS modules are traction control equipped. The CObra's all had it, but you'll want to make sure the one you are using says "GT traction" on it. Downside to not using that one? No idea. Perhaps your TC doesn't work.

For your wheel speed sensor, plug it and use a digital multimeter and check resistance through the sensor out to the hub. If you get an open, it's just and needs to be replaced. Most likely this is the issue. If you get odd readings, compare to the other side. This might narrow down if the issue is sensor related, or if it's an issue with the wiring or the module.
