GT exhaust for V6

I am going to be installing a flowmaster american thunder catback system, like this one, on my gf's mustang and i was wanting to know what additional things i will need, if any. She wants to keep her stock bumper so i need under bumper hangers right?

Thanks in advance for the info, sorry if this has been discussed a hundred times.

if it's a 1999-2004 mustang, you'll have to bend the pipes down since they were designed to go through the cut outs in the GT bumper. If it's a 1994-1998, it's all the same. Just get the hanger and muffler bracket for the passenger side.

I was thinking about doing this also, so all you would have to do is make a slight bend in them in the back? I have an 03 V6, and I just want a better sounding exhaust. Do you know anyone that has done it and that has made a FAQ or walkthrough for it?

Yep. Both sides would have to resemble the way the exhaust is bent down on the stock tail pipes, if you don't go with a GT Bumper. I've seen quite a few V6s done like that; for those people that don't want to bother with the GT bumper.

Eventhough my Mustang is a '95, the guy at the exhaust shop initially wanted to bend both of my pipes down, and I ended up getting into an arguement with him about 94-98 being able to have theirs run straight back since GTs and V6s are set up the same. If you go to an exhaust shop, they'll be able to hook you up.
