I've posted a few threads in the last week n regards to supercharging my 04 GT, that is still going to happen so no worries But if I could sell my car for 12.5 and pick up a Mach for 14 would it be worth it? (my car is auto and mach is manual) I'll have to lose the shaker scoop but thats a small price to pay for a supercharger Any real advantage to doing this? can a Mach handle slightly more boost?

What kinda limits am I looking at with the Mach? I know 400 ISH is the limit for stock GT's, what about Mach's? I can push 9 PSI through my GT and should be safe with a good tune. is the bottom end stronger on a Mach? Just trying to get an idea as of weather or not its really worth it

Mach's have powdered metal rods and hypereutectic cast pistons, not any stronger than a GT. The manual shift Mach's do have a forged crank though. I have seen a recomended limit of about 450hp before the pistons/rods give out.

Your still in teh same boat but you will have 75-80 more HP to work with, with the 4v.

Doesn't the Mach have a 10.1 compression ratio to the GT's 9.4? so that would be less boost that I could run I would assume. Whats giving the Mach the extra 45 HP? I recall somewhere that ram air is good for 5% HP.....if I did a KB that would disappear and I would be down to 292 hp...so is there really any benefit? aside from the 32 valve upgrade? and where is that extra 32 HP coming from? difference in cams?

i meant 75-80 over from a gt. the 4v "C" heads are alot better lol. Also you can get more power from less boost with higher comression, but hey it aint but like a raise in compression.

Most people are running 8psi on their Machs. Different cams, heads, and Intake manifold make up most of the difference in horsepower. Their are some superchargers that will retain the Shaker set-up, but I'm not sure which ones. The Shaker might be good for a couple horsepower at most. You don't get a true ram-air effect until speeds above 80mph are reached. The compression is 10.1:1.

i would get the mach. it is just a better car all around. Better brakes, suspension, interior, looks and it has a forged crank and 4v heads as already stated
