Heh. I stumbled across a Scion tC forum while looking for some mustang parts. Strange, I know... Anyway, thought you guys might like to know what other people are whispering out there.

They own a Scion. That right there says they haven't any style, taste, or brain cells. Why would we care what they say?

Hah! Nice post crew .

LOL

There are some intelligent people on this site. But there's also a bunch of naive little children.

The Scion tC is not a race car. You can make it quick, but it'll never really be 'fast' fast. And it's not because it's Japanese, but because it's a stylish FWD grocery hauler.

That 'american cars are fast in a straight line' post made me giggle. Do you think the turbocharger you want to put under the hood is going to increase your handling? Can you say understeeeeeeeer? Try not to be so narrow-minded as to completely dismiss American cars; they can be powerful adversaries. Perhaps not the econobox ZX2 Escort, but easily the road-raced Mustang.

I'm not trying to knock everyone on here. I approve of increasing the power of any car. And if you can find a solid balance of power, price and daily driveability, you've found a winning formula for a non-sponsored individual.

Want a fast car, but insist on reppin' your JDM magic? Get an Impreza, Supra or a Z. These cars are design to go fast, and do just that. Something more affordable? Try a 240, MKIII Supra, FC RX7 or an MR2. Once they're up to speed, they're much more solid than a scion. Deciding to stick with your tC? That's fine. Slap a body kit and aluminum wing onto it. Don't forget the stickers!! Those are 10hp a piece!

Woodyear, I think that mustang was giving you the race, so you'd have something to post about. 240lb of tq at 3500rpms makes up for the weight difference.

Having said that, I like the tC. Being from Toyota, it probably gets great gas mileage, it'd make a great DD, and I bet the insurance is much better than on my mustang.

Also, let me break down a little equation for those of you that brush off .5 seconds.

60mph = 1 mile per minute = 5280 feet per minute = 88 feet per second
.5 seconds = 44 feet
Scion tC length = roughly 14.5 ft
.5 seconds at 60mph = 3 car lengths

And how many races do you know of that end at 60mph?

Sorry for crashing your forums, btw. I was searching for 05 mustang parts, and this popped up in yahoo. And I just had to say something.

Yea, I actualy posted this thread once before and put a post up on thier site. I think on page two. They are a bunch of idiots. Typical ricers, put a fart can on thier ride and they think they got a racer.
