hey guys as you man know i posted that i would be getting a gt t top this weekend but the deal didnt work out. (we dont have to get into specifics, but i decided against the one i was looking at) anyway. I found another one, and its a really clean car, the body is perfectly straight. all body work has been done and its an lx with t's and an automatic. WEll the guy already put the gt front bumper on it and has the gt sideskirts that go with the car, it still has a lx back bumper. The toss up is that i dont know whether to finish converting it to an gt or leave it as an lx. Either way im gettin an saleen front bumper. I really want to run dumps and the gt bumper is perfect for this cuz that way you dont miss the tailpipes, but an lx with chrome 3 inch tailpipes looks awesome and it looks like they are missing if you just run dumps. I love the clean line of an lx, but i love the way a gt looks with T tops, I dunno what to do, give me some opinions guys. The black lx is a photochop of what my current lx without t tops would lool like, and i love the way it looks. I think the black bullits look great with an lx, but i dont know how they would look on a black gt. the t top pics is the car im gettin this next weekend.

BTW, if anybody is in pheonix i saw a really nice burnt orange t top auto car, for only 2900, and the car is beatiful. i will post a pic of it, its on the pheonix craigslist, there is also a black gt in dayton ohio that has t tops with a red interior also on craigslist.

what current car would look like.

okay , i think i got it this time, what a pain in the ass lol. Car even has original t top bags, forgot to mention that. also it has a black rollout hatch cover, i dont know how, because they didnt have black in the 87 88 years, and the covers from the years that do have black only fit in the new year cars, so i dunno bout thatone

Um - half of your pics aren't working, but since I own a GT T-Top car, I'm a bit partial to GT's. Click on my sig pic for a larger shot of mine.

your car looks so effing clean, dammnit , everytime i see it i fall in love, i love the way the bullits look on your car with that color, it looks like it came from the factory. well done bro. thats amazing.

you have to decide what YOU want. what are you partial too, a lx ground effect setup, or a gt. For me i loved the gt effects so getting my 88 T, was an esy choice. However, i do have a LX Notch T, that im waiting to restore. its all about what you want.

Thanks! Actually, it's nothing special, believe me. I had the car painted the original color but added a couple coats of clear, and did a 5 lug conversion to mount the bullits. The suspension is still stock. My goal is to keep a very clean stock looking vehicle (other than the wheels) and slowly mod it to eventually get up over the 300HP mark - nothing crazy.

Looking at the shape of both cars, I would pick the orange one, but the pics don't tell the whole story...as I'm sure you know.

yeah paint dont mean much to me tho, i would rather have something that i can start from the beginning with. So thats why i chose the first car, its strait with no rot or rust anywhere, thats all that matters, plus the suspension on my car will be all new tub k member and the whole 9 yards. it will go in for paint in jan, feb somewhere around that time.
