( Just wondering )

I know how to change the front and rear bumpers. It's the side molding i'm confused about. What parts one would have to order ect.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-body-molding-lx-8790.html ?

Does anyone have a visual guide, on how to make the switch?

From what I've read it's a pain in the ass. I know.

You need all the strips that hold on the ground effects. I do not know if the kit includes instructions on the exact locations for installing, so you will need to source that from somewhere.

You have the front and rear bumpers. You need the fender extensions for the front bumper, as well as the 2 piece side skirts. The ground effects simply slot into the metal strips, then are secured with some screws along the inner fenders and bottom of the vehicle.

You also need GT door moldings. The LX door moldings do not work because the "indention" is thinner and will not match the GT bumpers/GFX.

I cannot personally comment on the quality of reproduction side moldings, but I have heard mixed reviews, especially on the supplied two sided tape.

After that, a GT wing (and brake light), the Fog light support and brackets, and a GT headlight switch to work the foglights. If your LX is a factory 5.0 (not four cylinder) car then it will have the fog light wiring. Incidentally, if you are changing out the headlight switch it is a good time to do the Fog light fix so that you don't melt your new switch.

I think that is it.

Whoops, reading comprehension fail. In that case, buy the moldings, drill out the GFX strips, fill the holes, head to paint.

I'm guessing there is more to it than that surely? Wont they fender molding not be a oem fit correct?

Well..You need: rear quarter mouldings x4, (in front and behind the wheel) front fender mouldings x4. (in front and behind wheel). Front and rear bumper covers. Front fender extensions x2. Door should be the same. Remove the metal strips and fill any holes that show.

You will need new door moldings also, as previously mentioned, the indentation on them are different between GT and LX. Remove fog light support bracket, and if you really want a LX looking interior, replace front seats, and the headlight/fog light switch with one that has a blank where the fog lights would be. The LX front seats are somewhat different than the GT's, mostly missing the knee bolster. If you are removing all the ground effects and they are in good shape, my friend down here in NC might want to buy them off of you too!
