GT40 aluminum Y303 or thumper ported.

I found GT40 aluminum Y303 heads for 699 a set. Are these better flow and a better head in general than the ported thumper heads besides being much lighter?
Does anyone have these heads?
What cam do you use?
How much HP does your combo produce?

Personally I would take almost any alum head over any stock head ported or not...it will give you more room to grow in the future.

Im mostly looking for street power very fast off the line. The thumper heads seem great for that. If I go with the GT40's and a bigger cam will it make all of its power above 3000 rpms?

The GT40Y's are a true street head; should not shift your powerband. The cam will be what determines where your engine makes it's hp/tq.
