GT40 iron head swap

I have a set of GT40 irons getting a stage one port job. They will be replacing my ported E7's. I have the pedistal mount 1.7 roller rocker arms, everything from a 1994 cobra. I was wondering if I am going to have a problem with the stock pushrod length? Will the stock one (6.2" I think) work or will I need to buy new ones with a different length?

I would go stage 3 on that port, or they are about the same as an e7 with a stage 1.5 port job, throw in a 3/4 race cam, and booya! your a redneck!



and as fer your pushrod question, nobody here can answer that. you need to set it all up, and see. it is LIKELY that they will, if they have been milled, you may need to add some pedestal shims, and if they have not, some people require longer pushrods with 1.7 rockers, others do not. depends on a few different things.

your chances are better if yer running a stock cam vs. a 2030/2031 crane tho......
