GT500 Exhaust?

A buddy of mine is putting a new exhaust on his 08 GT500 and wanted to know if I wanted to buy his factory mufflers. Does anyone know if they will work on my 08 4.6 GT? If so does anyone have a video or sound clip? Would they be any louder than my stock exhaust?

If it is a standard GT500 and not a KR or Super Snake, the muffler is identical. There would be no power or sound gains. Just a heads up.

I thought they looked identical all they really done was changed the tips. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes they will fit, even KR mufflers will fit.

Correct. The OEM GT500 mufflers are mufflers from an Automatic GT. The mufflers were different because apparently test drivers back in 2005 complained that the automatics suffered from drone. So, Ford designed a new muffler to reduce drone in the automatics and this was used in the GT500 because of the extra power and noise. It just proves how well the factory mufflers flow if the GT500s can use them and still not gain much power from an axleback.
