gt500 mufflers + o/r h pipe

To those of you that added the h pipe after the mufflers, did the h pipe simply increase the volume of the mufflers and keep the same tone? I love the tone of these mufflers but wouldn't mind it being louder. Was wondering if an h pipe will achieve this without ruining the tone.

When I run the stock muffler on my off road h pipe, it was louder and a little more crisp. I guess the pulse is softened with the cats, so each cylinder fire is more defined. Not sure I explained well, but I'm sure you'll love the sound.

Not a whole lot louder at part throttle.
