GTS-3 Ram Air Hood for SN95?

lol go figure....even with an awesome tune mine still wont idle if the pcv is hooked up..pretty lame but if thats what i have to do to keep from stalling, then im keepin it like that lol....my car hates me :nonono:

i must have missed a few days of sn or something cause i dont remember you getting cams....or did you keep it on the low low?

HighSpeedLiger, HO makes an awesome hood...good choice :nice: got any pics of what the car looks like now?

I post most frequently in the OT section and mentioned it in the DA thread. I installed them myself about a week and a half ago and replaced the tensioners, timing chains, and chain guides. I paid for Nick at MHS to install cam gears and degree them and send me TFS adjustable crank gears. I ended up having to advance the crank 6* on the drivers side and advance it by 4* on the passenger side.

It runs suprisingly smoother from the front end, probably because my timing gear was 13 years old w/ almost 140K miles on it.

Regarding the idle, IIRC you can adjust the idle RPM with a tuner. I'm thinking its just running really rich at idle and once its leaned out she'll run just fine or I can just bump up the idle RPM and be all set. It stinks like gas while she's trying to idle. Also, it idles fine when cold but once it warms up and I come to a stop she dies.

I'm scheduled for a dyno tune on May 4th at 8:00 AM. I'm planning on bringing my camera and will post results and a video afterwards. Can't wait to get her tuned. It feels like there are a lot more hidden ponies in there. Keep in mind that I previously installed PI cams and a PI intake and never had it tuned, so there should be a lot of potential there.

Sorry to derail OP, but I'm not feeling that hood. I think a Cobra R, a GT hood w/ the scoop, or a 95 Cobra R hood would look sweet.

sweet! what color is the car? if its not already done, you should consider moving the stock spoiler back a few inches....very nice and free appearance mod
