I recently had to gut my cats because the ceramic was broken into pieces inside my cats. I was just wondering I hear that you'll lose power due to the loss of backpressure. also I was wondering if I should put a piece of pipe in there in place of the cats because there is all of that vacant space inside the empty cat and isn't a constant flow of exhaust?? Sounds good ..

I don't think you lost any power. You probably gained some actually. It'll be worse down low but you'll gain top end.

Well, you might have gained some power, but bolting an o/r would add more. It is manderal bent and there are not 4 huge openings where the cats used to be. The openings where the cats were are about 4 inches by 4 inches. That cannot be too good for making power and torque. How does the car feel?

yea I had High flow cats with the Bassani X-pipe. I bought all stainless steel so I was a little pissed when The cat covers rusted off. and then the cats went to ****! I am thinking about calling them because the stainless steel exhaust has a lifetime warranty. But if feels allright just down low between like 1500 and 2500 a little sluggish even with the 410's in the rear. yea I mean it is only one 8"x4" hole. I was thinking the muffler prob has the same effect.

For a street car, it's better to have the power down low than in the upper RPM's......unless you drive around at 4000+ RPM all the time

So do you think that by putting a test. pipe in there it would help out some?

I reput my cats back yesterday on for emission . Now my car pulls hard as hell after 1500 rpm.. its crazy the o/r H robbed me of some much power. I hate how soft and non mean she sounds with the hiflow cats, but my exhaust smells so good now (if that makes sense). So after emission the o/r H goes back on and i return to being LOUD+Stinky and Slow aka RICE!!
