Bone stock including tires. Cordova Dragway Park. Record set for fastest stock new Camaro.

I love my Mustang, and would never go to the dark side, but that's impressive.

Wow, that is pretty impressive, especially considering it is over a 3800 lb beast. Any idea if he was at stock weight, or did he do things like remove the rear seats and whatnot?

It was 100% stock form.

Ford does a great job with the cubes they give us. But GM keeps using larger displacement engines and coming up with better numbers. Not sure why Ford won't follow suit.

Ford doesn't have to, even the "dark years" early to mid 90's the Mustangd outsold the camaro/firebird 2:1

Thats not impressive at all. Ford did better with only 390hp back in 03-04. One can argue "yea but its blown bla bla" bs power is power and it is what it is.

I'm a Mustang guy, don't get me wrong. It would just be nice to beat GM in NA power too.

Not terribly impressed. I've run two SS's, twice each, and beat them both by half a car with only gears and a tune. Maybe the guys couldn't drive, maybe the guy in the video had a good day, etc; I don't care. Something about 12.87 in 100% stock form doesn't smell quite right, considering my experiences with them.

It's also not impressive when a stock Cobalt SS/TC is only 1 second slower than the 436 hp Camaro SS at the Nurburgring.

Ehhh, it's still an ugly Chevy!
Our cars don't do bad considering they're only 281 CI. I've seen several S197s run 13.1-12.9 with just CAI and tune which is around 300-310 RWHP...
A 400 HP N/A 5.0 V8 will do wonders for the Mustang!

This guy is a good driver. He owns a shop. If he says it's 100% stock, it is.

I agree. It's great what Ford can do with such a little motor. I'd just love to see a big motor option like they get. Ford would decimate them.

Had a new one at the 1/8 event I was at this past weekend. Ran 9.2-9.3 all weekend. Not horrible, but not overly impressive when you consider the stock SN95's at the same event were running in the 9.4-9.6 range.
