What did you do/do you use to plug the hole in the engine block where the old dipstick came out? my new oil pan's dipstick goes straight into the oilpan so the old hole in the block isnt needed.... plus oil squirts out of it sometimes and gets on the headers and makes smoke.....

i was using a little piece of the old dipstick that i had kinked off and shoved back in the hole, but it must have fallen out......

any suggestions

Your gonna need to cap it. Like mentioned above mine had a fitted metal plug with RTV all around it.

My home made plug was still in the hole.... so i put some RTV around it.... hopefully that takes care of the smoke
