Hey guys well my Heads cam intake swap is finally done and the car is up and running. I must say that it feels way faster than it was before. I dont have any dyno numbers or track times. But they will be coming at the end of the month. The cam ended up being pretty weak its a Crane 2031 Cam that is 513in and 529ex, but that is with 1.7rr. I had cobra 1.7s which is why i got the cam but my mind went haywire because i forgot they the cobra 1.7s woulnt fit on my stud mount heads. So i went and got some crane blazer 1.6s now the lifts are only 483in and 497ex. I think thats pretty weak what do you guys think? Ive got the timing at 13 degree and the fuelpressure at 39psi. I guess ill start tuning it from there. Ill keep you guys updated with what happpens.

Duration & IVO/EVO/...etc moments are what really makes the cam . Max lift isn't as important.

But changing the cam/rockers to get the max lift above .510 or .520 might justify a swap. I guess a dyno is necessary to know for sure.

Well jake the duration is 276in and 282ex. and the lsa is 112 i think. It idles a lot better than i expected. Hasnt even stalled once so far. Umm i just was looking at the car and i swear it is like almost an inch higher in the front now. Those stock heads were so heavy comparred to these ones.

If Summit is right...:

Advertised duration: 276/282
Duration @ 0.050: 214/220
LSA: 112

I like this part: "8.5:1 CR max". Interesting.

Yea, it was always interesting cause your car was a strong runner(ie: Good Driver that has a Clue) should be interesting to see your new track times.

I like that too Dave .

What makes a good blower cam, especially a centrifugal blower, is a lazy, revving lobe, and that's what he has. He has excessive "advertised" duration and a relatively small amount of duration at 0.050", which will allow the car to rev. The compression ratio cap indicates to me that this would probably be best suited for a blower.

But then again, what do I know...
