Ok well within a week i will be ordering the thrick flow twisted wedge kit for my car. The supporting mods i will be getting so far are 30lb injectors...walbro 255lph fuel pump...C&L 76mm mass air meter..and a fuel pressure regulator if i really need one?...That is all i can think of that i need right now..aside from oil and coolant and what not. Does everything sound good..anything else i need?

PS.
I will also be installing upper and low control arms full length subframes and torque box reenforcments. So that should take care of the suspension for now.

Thanks

I might suggest getting 24lb injectors with the properly calibrated MAF...and a Kirban AFPR to help tune it as Curse suggested.

A bigger throttle body would be ideal but not completely neccesarry...more for power than anything. I wouldn't go any bigger than a 70mm TB...

Might want to get new header gaskets - FEL-1415 I believe is what you need...

Good Luck

Just curious on your thoughts about the 24# over 30#. I see you have 30#'s on your combo. Any problems? I ask, because I just switched to 30's from 24's and haven't ran it yet.

The 30's cause a slight rich condition which can cause an idle surge here and there (doesn't do it near as bad as it used to)...and when the car gets "killed" by accident (let out of the clutch to fast for example) it is slow to start right back up because of the initial fuel being fed into the chambers and it takes a while for the car to "spark up". I don't know if that made sense. Other than that I have no problems and really no regrets actually. I just think the 24's would be a bit more ideal for his TFS combo. I get good gas mileage so they are do something right with the 30's :nice:

I have actually read a couple people going a bit quicker with the 24's over 30's because they are running just a tick leaner (more power)...but of course that could be due to different variables.

I chose 30's because Ed Curtis recomended me to get them because he said the tuners he has worked with said they are better to tune with because they have more room to play with and tune with...and he knew this is my only car and that I might not get a tune and he still suggested to get the 30's...they are running fine :nice:

You can run 30 pounders on stock heads as long as the fpr is tuned right. It's complete overkill, but it will work just fine. However it is nice not to have to buy a new set of injectors every time you do a major upgrade.

You can run them but when you lower your FP just to have the 30lbers act "okay" you loose overall performance...and it isn't ideal.

24lbers will supply enough fuel for any h/c/i on a 302...just like a 30lber would...so buy the time you do any mods (supercharger/stroke it) you will want to go with bigger injectors anyways...like 36's all the way up to 50lbers...depending on how "severe" the mods...
