H/C/I swap, car runs like crap..

Well, the guy said "it could be off a tooth" that is b.s. and I had the same problem when I had the non HO firing order on instead of the HO firing order... sure you did the 302 HO firing order? It sounds like it is something with your ignition because it can't be an injector if it is soaked in fuel. I don't think it has anything to do with valve lash because the cylinders are getting fuel but not burning it. Are the points under the Cap messed up or anything, the points or the rotor? anything like that. If there is a crack in the cap it could mess things up. Check the plugs and make sure they are firing, check all the simple crap. Also... I had a similar situation with my mass air flow meter, so check that out. Are the new plugs correct for the heads? Just think hard and look carefully.

When I put in my 24# injectors and my meter calibrated for those I had similar situations... it would rev and just fall on its face, I switched in the 19's and the stock meter and it ran great.
