H-Pipe Diameter ?

Hello Everyone.
Got a question... Does the diameter of the crossover pipe on an H-pipe matter much? I'm running a 351C 2v with a 4 barrel mildly built, long tube headers and automatic transmission. I also have 2.5 flowmaster super 44 mufflers and exhaust pipes out to the rear. Was considering anywhere between a 2.5 or 3 inch crossover on the H-pipe. Thanks!

All I have seen are the same size as the rest of the system.

I can tell you only the H-pipe situation on my car and it`s also, as stated above, the same size as the rest of the exhaust system.

The OEM crosstube was a smaller diameter.

All the H pipes I see are about 1 3/4 to 2 inch.
