Hi,
Just installed an AOD in my 65 coupe (CJ Pony crossmember) and the original H pipe does not come close to fitting properly. Is there an aftermarket H pipe for this application or must I spend the big bucks to get one fabricated? Thanks!

I would assume that the H=Pipe hits the tranny pan ? If so, You'll need to fab something up. WHat I did was remove the pipes just before the mufflers, cut the pipes enough to allow the H-Pipe to slide rearward and weld a new piece to make up the difference at the collectors. Hope you understand that. I have a 68 coupe.

Just have an exhaust shop fix it for ya. I had the add an h to mine for about $60. I'm sure you can "coat-hanger" it to the exhaust shop.

Thanks,
Actually it was hitting the sides of the new crossmember although the pan would have been next. The system is fairly new and solid, so I just cut the center section, spread the exhaust pipes and welded in a short piece to make up. All for the price of a cheap wire welder. The local muffler shop wanted $600 to custom bend a complete 2-1/4 system. Sheesh!
