H-pipe Stock?

From what I understand from reading some other post I seem to see refference to the "stock h-pipe" do GTs come with a h-pipe stock? Just curious bc mine has straight pipe and no cats ..

Yes, GT's come with a stock H pipe. The stock H pipe has catalytic converters on it. Yours is an off-road H pipe. Definitely not stock if it doesn't have cats on it. Somebody who owned the car before must have put it on.

Yes, newer ones do. Yours is a 96 so it should have an h-pipe with 6 cats, 3 on each side. If yours is gone, I wouldnt worry. More flow and less weight. When I traded mine for the o/r x-pipe, I couldn't believe the weight difference.

Yes. GTs come with 2.25" catted h-pipe.

If you have no cats you have an aftermarket mid-pipe.

What I was getting at is my car doesn't have an hpipe it looks like this

(header)___(muffler)
(header)___(muffler

with the __ being pipe that is not connected in any way..how does this affect performance/sound over an h-pipe?

Also..is it worth adding an h-pipe with the setup that I have?
