I have a quick question i was reading on www.mustangexhaust.com and they were talking about the differences between x pipes and h pipes and i was wondering if what they said was true. they said the h pipes gave a deeper sound and x pipes gave a more exotic sound. Is this true and has any one installed either.
If you guys could help me i would appreach it alot thanks

As far as sound goes, they are correct, usually an H pipe gives a deeper sound.

Regarding HP & TQ, in general a proper X will give more HP & TQ across the entire RPM range than an H.

IMHO H pipes sound better at low RPM, idle to 3,000 - 3500 RPM.

X pipes sound better @ high RPMs ( above 3,000)
