Going to look at a 87 LX soon that has an h-pipe, but no cats. Would it be pretty easy to just put some cats on there or would I have to get a whole new exhaust. Any replies would be great. Thanks.

You've got several options...

First, you can buy all kinds of X and H pipes with two high flow cats...

or, you can have a couple of cats welded into the pipe thats on the car

or, you can say f**k it and leave the cats off :nice:

You could go a couple of different routes.
You could: - Buy an aftermarket H or X pipe with 2 high-flow cats.
- Search ebay or other classifieds for a stock pipe to swap on for smog.
- Get some high-flow cats welded into your existing pipe.

The first option is a good one, but catted mid-pipes can be a bit expensive($350-$400) Good luck.
