Thanks everybody!! I would like to meet you guys too. I wish that there was a big event somewhere in the middle we could all meet. I went to Norwalk back in 2006 for FFW or NMRA, one of the two. I know one thing for sure is this car WILL be at Mustang Alley for the WWDC 2007. 9 Mile and Woodward. http://www.motorcityterminators.org/mustangalley/

It is always a great time. We get there about 9am then by 11 or 12 we are Buffalo Wild Wings eating wings and drinking some beer, then back to the cars and we just hang out all day.

Back to the car....thanks a lot. The 97 Cobra wheels will stay for a little bit, but the more I look at the car in the sun, it needs some chrome I think. I will have more pics of small things I've completed today. Of course it's 1:30 and I just got up because I got home very late last night. I shouldn't have stayed out but chit happens. I will stay til about 5:30 then off to a BBQ at my parents. Stay tuned.

Man, everybody is showing up for this one!! Thanks a lot I appreciate it!

I drove it around the yard today. The brakes are getting better. It seems ok for now, I'm sure I am going to find something when I get it on the smooth road though. I already hear a squeak behind the dash. After I get the interior in and the car done, I will take it out. I might just hear the loose stuff hanging in the interior bouncing around....I just got anxious. Well, I'm calling it a night guys, I'm beat now. Been here since 9am with only a few hours sleep and too many beers last night. Thank you all!!!!

P.S. The dash blows my mind too. I look in there, from far away now...(because it's outside) and it's really noticeable. Also...about the widening wheels thing....thanks....I was really thinking about that. It is called Weldcraft. If you don't have their number...here it is. 734-420-2211.

No problem for the number on Weldcraft!! Thanks for the compliments guys. I kinda dragged a$$ today. Two nights of partys wasn't good for getting up early. I just put the door panels on, some headliner trim and I made a hole in the SN speedo bezel to mount the mirror switch. I also had to modify the drivers door panel because it was off of a convertible and the upper belt molding is too long. I had to cut and trim and fit that in there a few times before it fit correctly.

I also included a picture of the huge pile of cars ready to scrap. There is about 250 or more here. (Two Fox Bodys, and 3 SN's.)...*Takes hat off during moment of silence*
The crusher is coming soon, and if I didn't take on Project 81 Hack Job, it would have been in this pile!!!

Locks

Door Panels

New location for mirror switch

Hack Job would have been here!!!!!

Yeah, we buy mostly American cars. Imports sell okay around here, but there are not that many. You should see our auction list vs. one from Cali, or Texas. Most lists per week here are about 300 cars per auction. Out west, the auctions lists are 700-1000 cars per week, and I bet more than 3/4 of that list is import. You wouldn't believe the Hondas, and Toyotas.

I'm just getting the car together so I can drive it. Don't worry, after it's all said and done-done, and the bugs are worked out, I will be replacing little things that need to be done. So, far I have placed two orders through 50 resto, and the second order was because I forgot about stuff I needed when I placed the first order....guess what....I know I'll have to place a 3rd with stuff I forgot/want from the second order.

I have replaced stuff with new on this car that I haven't done before on the other 3 foxes I ahve built. I think next up is Strange struts and shocks, and Granitelli Motorsport rear LCA's with the jacker bolt to raise the rear up a tad. I addd a 1/4" spacer plate Saturday that got the rear end up a little. Don't get me wrong, I like where it sits, but I don't want the wheels to hit the quarter panels. They don't hit on the very edge, the wheels still go inside, but still. Once I get some 17X8 +45mm S197 wheels, it'll be okay.

Thank you!! While I do like those wheels, (especially on my black coupe) and I have been contemplating chrome Bullits for the yellow coupe, many of you Mustang enthusiasts, like myself, are voting for the Cobras to stay. I am taking this into deep thought, because though I will keep this throughout the summer of 2008, it will be up for sale in 2009, so I want to attract as many enthusiasts as possible.

P.S. NKau...I love your black Bullits on your white GT, and I have thought of those too because they come in the +45mm offset I want, and kind of need. What do you think about those?

Great work!! The doors, fenders, and qtrs look perfect...even gaps.

I do like the 97 cobra's. IMO keep the wheels to a chrome or machined finish. It will really break up the solid yellow nicely.

Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see the finished product!!!!!

SN95 door pannels dont come anywhere close to fitting. The cars that I have seen with this swap that did the doors too had to make 3/4 of the pannel from scratch and mold in Ranger handles. I like the 87-93 doors fine.

Really though SVT you know that thing is way magazine worthy You should send these progress pics to 5.0 ond MM&FF and stuff like that to show everyone your killer job
