HACK JOB SEE DAYLIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME

I have to say that I love the car!! I have a soft spot for clean low notches.

Is there a reason a 94-98 rear could not be swapped onto the car?
You could sell the 99-04 rear and more than make up for the cost of buying another rear. I have never liked the look of s197 bullits but the new edge style bullitts are some of the best looking wheels I've ever seen on a fox. A set of stock color new edge bullitt wheels would go perfect with the bright yellow.

I know what you mean. It's reality check time when you see that $800 total at the bottom of the screen.

Dooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt!!!! The polished wheels would look awesome against the yellow.

 I know man. I have gone sooo far, so it's almost like I should buy new wheels....but right now I have:

1. 4- 97 Cobra wheels not in use.
2. 4 01 Bullit wheels not in use.
3. 4- 05 Mustang GT wheels---(I still have that 200 deposit on them. Lady said she is coming today....she left $200 2 weeks ago) She better come back,....but if not that means I got those wheels and tires for free.

I also have:

1. 10 Goodyear Gatorback 245-45's
2. 2 Goodyear Eagle HP 285-40's
3. 2 Goodyear Eagle F1 275's
4. 2 Goodyear Eagle F1 285's
5. 8 Kelly Charger 245's
6. 4 Offbrand cheapo 245's
7. 2 Nitto Drag's 275's--(Brand new)

All this stuff I have is used, and I already own the stuff....but for some reason I want to buy new wheels, and I just got off the phone with my friend who priced me 4 new 245-45-R17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's..... Big sale Saturday on them he said, but those are gonna be 175 each (before the sale). That would be $1,496.75 for new wheels and tires.....I don't think so. It's either used tires and new wheels, or new tires and used wheels. That will keep it around 700-800 max.

Thanks man. I have 3 8.8 rears from a 94-98. But I already had my 2001 axle rebuilt, 3.73's installed, new bearings, seals, fluid F.M., welded the tubes and painted. If I swapped it, I would have to do all that to the old 94-98 rears, because all of them have stock gears and 150K+ on them.

Plus...the 2001 has traction control, and I don't know if it would work with 94-98 axles and ABS rings. Plus, I know I would have to buy new ABS sensors at 65 each, because I can't get them out of my 2001 axle. I know the 94-98 sensors won't work with the 2001 ABS/traction system, because all those sensors are 1 year only. I have tried other year sensors in cars I have rebuilt and the past, and I always got an ABS light/code.

If I order 05+ Bullit wheels from American Muscle, they still look like the new edge (99-04) Bullits, but they sport the S197 offset.

I didn't realize you was using the traction control on this ride so it makes better sense now. As long as the wheels look like the new edge style I think they'll look great.

You've done a great job on that car and I can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks man. Yeah, I don't want to make a day out of switching everything around to find out it won't work. I will just be happy with what I have done, and be thankful that the traction control works. I spun the tires in the dirt here at work, and the light came on and I could feel something weird happening with the car, so I know it works. I better not "fix" it...:rlaugh:

SVT, the "Black Chrome" idea hadn't occurred to me. That would be a very different look on a yellow Fox. Dark/Black, but shiny at the same time...hrmm...something to think about before you spend $800 on wheels.

Yeah, I love the Hyperblack wheels on american musle, but they are all the wrong offset for me. I think those wheels are the most badass available. I like the dark, but shiny look too.

In MI, there are no chrome plating shops that will dod wheels. I called every single one in the yellow pages, and they all said no. I would have to ship to Cali....and I called 3 out there and they were all 300+ per wheels + shipping...

Yeah, but they aren't available in the +45mm offset. That is the whole reason behine me buying new wheels. I don't want to buy new wheels if they have the same 17X8 30mm offset or the same 17X9 24mm offset. I have that stuff right now. I found the 17X8 05+ Bullits on buyfordracing.com for 40 dollars cheaper than 50resto. Their shipping though makes them 30 dollar more, but Plymouth MI is only 30 minutes from me, so I might just send my driver out there to pick them up.

Updates coming. I am getting ready to go into work right now!! I know I know, it's 5:00pm, but my sister had her graduation today and I had to go to that TWO HOURS EARLY WITH HER!!! Then it lasted longer than the scheduled 1hr 30 min, and it was outside, and it RAINED!!!!!!!!! Oh man, that sucked. I had this dude sitting next to me with a turban on and he smelled like the worst perfume.....trying to cover something up I guess. IT sucked. Updates will be....

1. Priming bumper, stripped it and filled holes last night.

2. Tighten lower control arms bolts

3. Paint bumper tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Then, Monday, or Tuesday, I want to install that with the new economy headlight kit. I also want to get the inner fenders in and insurance. Then I gotta get to the alignment shop for that, and he tints windows too, so I'm killing both birds with that stone.
