I was coming home from work today got off the highway and up at the stop light a head was a black Nissan Maxima SL. So I pulled into the lane next to him at the light. I figured I could get in front of him before the lane turned into one. The light turned green and he floored it and I floored it most of the way but had to left off some seeing as we were going up a hill and my tires spun a little. He got a head and stayed about a half a car length a head of me till we stopped at 55mph (the speed limit on the road is 50). I was kind of pissed that I couldn’t pass him. Those Maximas are quick stock. He will be behind me when I get 4.10s and Stage one cams.

Yeah, they sure move. They have 255HP (nissan rerated them down from 265HP) and have some serious pull off the line.

My sis has an '05 SE that i take from time to time and i've surprised a few Mustangs with it

thats not bad, I could hardly pull on a honda odyssey minivan pulling onto the freeway yeterday. I almost wrecked her because I didn think the van would keep up before I had to turn. Turns out those vans have 260hp, go figure.

Avalons come with 260HP too.

V6's are fast. Nissan is already getting 300HP from it's 3.5L V6. Give it a couple more years and everyone will be making 300HP from a V6 :(

But on the other hand, every V8 out there will be making over 400HP N/A (except Ford :( )

Yep the Mustangs are slow, I test drove a cs/gt today for 15miles and way bored by time we got back to the dealer, absolutly no balls for what I expect for a 2006 factory sports car. Might as well get a four door sedan like the MAX.
