HALO 3 Beta, WHO's in it??? probably for the younger crowd.

I'm in the BETA just have to wait for it to be avalible for download through CRACKDOWN. My gamertag is XGC MUSTANG.

Alright so who has downloaded it? Gamespy.com says it was released today at 5am pacific time.. Its 7pm now and i poped my crackdown disc in and it says to check back later for the download, what gives?

My brother said somebody forgot to update crackdown to allow the download and it should be fixed in an hour or so.

UPDATE : 5/16/07 3:55 p.m.
We're happy to finally announce that the issues being faced with the Halo 3 beta and Crackdown will be resolved shortly. The Microsoft team has found a solution and it's undergoing final testing now.

Assuming the test pass goes according to plan, the fix will come in the form of a Crackdown title update within the next three to six hours.

We understand many of you were eagerly awaiting your chance to jump into the Halo 3 Beta and this technical issue has put a damper on your plans. Thankfully the fix is incoming and we're sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Ultimately we hope this will all soon be a distant memory once you pick up the Spartan Laser, launch yourself from a Mancannon and enjoy online shenanigans with your friends.

As a reminder, people who already have the Halo 3 Beta are unaffected by this issue. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have more information.

That's 3:55pm pacific time, so it'll be pretty late here before it's fixed. Hmmmm.....Do I need to sleep tonight??

they fixed the problem, they have another update you have to download for it to work, what pisses me off was that it took them16 hours to fix the problem, AND also my little brothers have never played crackdown they popped the cd in and it was there to download, and I have beaten the game and was up all day.

Iam at 1% now, I will be up all night waiting for it to download.

Played it.. Excellent game, couldnt be happier. My only issue right now is the new buton layout. It deffinatly is better, but will take some time getting used to. Im still hitting X constantly to reload and pick up weapons haha

My gay friends told me how to pick up the weapons but not that the reload button also changed. The whole timed I was hitting X and I was like, great I guess you can't reload cause it's beta.

I think it looks really good. The person's shield still confuses me though, when you're hitting him it looks like he has an overshileld. I hope bungie changes that. Sniping I think is a lot harder and I think the Carbine is better than the BR. But the AR pwns. I was looking forward to using the pistol again, but it's not on the beta.

yeh It was very confusing when I first started, I wish you could be on the map all by yourself so you could get use to new setup.

I hated to pistol because it was so accuarate, but a very good weapon none the less.
