Hammer shifter problems

I’ve been having trouble getting my cable to line up correctly on my C4 with a B&M Hammer shifter. I’m using the C4 install kit, and I’ve already added spacers on the servo cover mount like some people recommend. That helped a little, but it still won’t fully lock into park.

If I adjust the linkage in 1st or neutral, it lines up in every gear except park. It seems like it’s just barely not pushing the arm far enough to fully engage park.

Has anyone run into this before or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

So can you provide a little more information like what the car is and the year, what year is the transmission & what did it come out of if known, which install kit specifically (brand and part number), and pictures are always nice. I am no help with automatics but you are not providing much background info for those that are auto guru's to help.

It’s a 26 spline c4 in a 90 mustang with a foxbody hammer shifter and the b&m c4 hammer shifter conversion kit on it

Try adjusting the cable in park, will it engage first gear?
