I'm guessing it must be time for new plugs. At least that's what I'll try first.

On certain cold mornings, the 97 GT doesn't like to start. It cranks quickly, cetches, then I let go of the key and it immidiately dies. It did this trick about 5 times this morning. Finally, I gave it some generous throttle and it fired, but was running poorly for about 5 seconds; obviously a few cylinders were missing. When it first fired, it felt like at least 2 or 3 cylinders were missing. It only stayed running because I was giving it generous throttle and holding it around 2000 rpm for that first 5 seconds.

So can anyone confirm if it sounds like the plugs, or should I start looking at something else? The plugs have a lot of miles, and probably have a gap upwards of .070. :p I think the last time the car got new plugs was around 70-80k miles and it has 156k now.
