it seems when im really working the power steering pump in my 85 f150 the steering isnt as easy as it used to be.... if i am stopped and start cranking the wheels back and forth it seems to stumble and get harder to steer.... it is fine when im driving... this is a new problem, the fluid level is fine...... I was stuck real bad in a mud hole the other day and the pump took a pretty good beating.......
how do i tell if its the pump or if its maybe the steering box?????
if i end up having to replace the pump is there any special bleeding or flushing process i need to do to the system???? the fluid is very!!!! dirty and i think the pump is original for the truck (410,000km
