i have been workin all day trying to get the center bolt on the harmonic balancer off. Any ideas or sweet tricks to get this off? I have tried pb blaster and a breaker bar so far and the crank just turns :notnice:

Put it in 5th gear.
thanks a bunch it worked like a charm but now i cant get the balancer itself off. i have the puller but i get to a point where it wont turn any longer, should i keep giving it hell or am i useing the tool wrong?

ok, heres how it should go down:

-Remove your fan
-Move the overflow tank out of the way of the fan
-Break the crank bolt loose
-Use 2-3 small bolts and screw them into the balancer so they hold the brace in place
-put the huge center bolt in and use the sharp tip on the bolt
-crank away at it until the balancer pops off the key way
-Pop the new one on and get nasty

ok well im on step 5 but i didnt take out the fan or overflow tank, is the imperative?

Make sure the washer for the crank bolt is out too. I forgot to check and wound up breaking the puller. To tighten crank bolt i pulled the starter and put a bolt thru a hole in the flywheel, worked like a charm.

alright ill keep an eye on it and if i see a leak ill pull it off again... dear god i hope it doesnt leak... off topic but have you ran at the track you look like you have close to the same mods as me but with an intake
