harmonic balancer

Hi, guys, I'm looking at a romac harmonic balancer. It is a 4-bolt 28oz balancer for 1970-1981 302/5.0L, & 1970-1997 351W/5.8L. I am building a 347 stroker and was told to balance it to 28oz.. My car is a 88 gt. Just wanted to make sure this one would work.. the ones for the 88's are 50oz.. Will this one fit? Thanks guys!

If you have the 347 balanced for a 28oz, you will need to have the flywheel that's suitable for this change.

Well that's ok because I just sold my flywheel so I need to replace it anyways.. so will that work... and is non-sfi ok.. for around $70 from ford strokers for a 347?

Non-sfi is fine as long as you didn't want to compete (hardcore). I'm not sure on your price, someone else will have to chime in.

you can use that balancer as long as your flywheel is weighted for 28o and not 50. don't cheap out on a flywheel either, i replaced mine with a ford racing bilit. my old one was almost cracked right through...could have lost a foot

if my 351W project was further along i would sell you my new FRPP billet steel flywheel. peace

i went with a pioneer unit. it's SFI approved and pretty nice
